The Way Back Home

by Teater Refleksion, Denmark and Banar Teatar, Ireland
Friday, May 5, 2017, 11:00 am*
the Feik Rotunda at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.

Based on a book by Oliver Jeffers

When a boy discovers a single-propeller airplane in his closet, he does what any young adventurer would do: He flies out into outer space!

This show is a tale about the boundless imagination of children and about one boy’s adventure into outer space and the quest he must undertake to help his new friend.

Teater Refleksion and Banar Teatar have produced more than 30 performances for over the past 25 years including acclaimed “Goodbye Mr. Muffin,” “Songs from Above,” “Boxy George,” ”Spraoi” and “Blath”.

“Children and adults alike were enchanted…for any fan of Jeffers work, either young or old, this is a must see.” NoMoreWorkHorse

The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts

The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is the home for the Children’s Fine Arts Series!  We are thrilled to be a resident company of the Tobin Center.  We join nine other organizations who have a home at the Tobin. Learn more about the Tobin Center and its companies and programs.

We extend our most heartfelt gratitude to Las Casas Foundation and Arts Center Enterprises for the many years of generosity and care given to the Children’s Fine Arts Series. And a special thanks to Trinity University’s Laurie Auditorium which was our first home in 1982 and continued to be a favorite venue every Season. We were so fortunate to be a part of the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre and Laurie Auditorium for 31 years. They helped make us who we are today.
